This week, the TW Soccer media team sat down with Jonny Hume from Ballymena United to hear all about their preparations for The Barcelona Easter Tournament.
A trip away to sunny Spain had been on the horizon for Jonny and his squad for some time and after hearing all about the tournament on social media, the Barcelona Easter Tournament was the one for them.
With a party of 45 travelling with the Northern Irish outfit, they’re counting on plenty of support from the sidelines and they’re sure to be seen and heard this Easter! Jonny has already started planning a calendar of fundraising events in order to help get every player on that plane. He explained how all the players are extremely excited but ‘the parents even more so!’
On a serious note though, Jonny was keen to outline the benefits of a trip such as this in that it’s important players ‘get away together as a group and enjoy the tournament atmosphere’ and in turn ‘build memories that they will remember for the rest of their lives’.
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves Jonny :). Everyone at TW Soccer wishes Ballymena United all the best for the tournament and the season to come.
