With the Easter holidays fast approaching, it promises to be one of the biggest and most exciting periods yet for Trans World Soccer, as teams prepare to compete both across Europe and here in the UK.
A number of clubs will be heading overseas to take part in two of Europe’s most established youth competitions – the Holland Easter Open and the Mare Nostrum Easter Cup in Spain.
Among those travelling, we’re proud to be supporting squads from Spartans FC, with their Girls NexGen sides competing in the Holland Easter Open, while the Spartans 2012 Boys squad head to Barcelona for the Mare Nostrum Easter Cup. Both tournaments provide an exciting platform for players to test themselves against international opposition in top-class environments.
Meanwhile, excitement is building on home soil as the seventh edition of the UK International Cup is set to get underway at Loughborough University across the Easter weekend. This year’s tournament reaches a new milestone, with a record 70 teams from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, England, the Netherlands, and the USA confirmed to take part.
Rory McBride, Head of Trans World Soccer, said:
“These events are a huge part of what we aim to deliver as an organisation.
It’s not just about the matches – it’s about giving players the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, experience different styles of football, and build memories with their teammates that will stay with them for years to come.
With a record number of teams involved this season, we’re looking forward to seeing a fantastic standard of football across the Easter period.”
