As the Easter holidays wrap up, it’s time to recap an action-packed few weeks at Trans World Soccer as grassroots teams travelled across the UK and Europe to represent their clubs on the biggest stage.
In Spain and the Netherlands, grassroots teams from across the UK had the chance to test themselves against top international opposition. The Holland Easter Open, Costa Daurada Easter Cup, and Mare Nostrum Easter Cup gave youth teams the perfect stage to show off their skills, with sunny weather and tough competition making for unforgettable experiences for both players and supporters.
Back on home soil, the UK International Cup returned for its sixth edition over Easter weekend, welcoming players from over 50 grassroots teams representing England, Scotland, Ireland, and the Netherlands for an exciting two days of football at Loughborough University’s state-of-the-art facilities. For the first time, all matches were streamed live and the tournament made history with the participation of the first-ever Dutch side, SVA Boys. Additionally, new on-site activities were introduced, adding to the excitement for both players and spectators.

Rory McBride, Head of Trans World Soccer, commented:
“These tournaments are about more than just football. They offer young players the opportunity to challenge themselves against different opposition, experience new playing environments and, most importantly, create memories that will last a lifetime.
We were delighted to see so many teams in action over Easter and hope they had an unforgettable experience.”
